The Way of Beauty
I'm committed to The Way of Beauty, a divine feminine path that many of our ancestors traveled on to restore order to the web of life.
In my cosmology, it all begins with the Mother (the Cosmic Mother) or what the ancient Greeks called kosmos (Ordered Beauty).
I believe Life is a web of energy, and each of us is a little node inside that web of sacred electricity.
Kosmos = Ordered Beauty
We do not heal to feel better; we heal so the web can have our beauty back.
What is Beauty?
I think of Beauty as the allure of the divine calling us into sacred union. While Beauty has been diminished to cosmetics or the physical plane, the ancient philosophy of beauty expands to beautiful actions, beautiful thoughts, beautiful feelings… Beauty as an energy, not a thing.
Come Home, Through the Senses
From the animistic perspective, your Soul is your Anima (your animating lifeforce), and she is part of Anima Mundi (the Soul of the World). You were designed to be connected to the web through each of your senses, and so you can always come home through the senses.
In the web of Ordered Beauty, each node is a precious jewel, made perfect by Mother Nature.
Original Beauty, not Original Sin
I don't believe in original sin; I believe in original beauty, in the original beauty of the human psyche, before the trauma of colonial patriarchal systems shattered us.
I am committed to this philosophy because after I experienced trauma (a devastating fragmentation) during midlife and spent 7 years in The Underworld, I understood how deeply troubled, malnourished, and depressed the human soul is (and the soul of the world too).
This is my 'ministry'
This is my reverent work.
I hold a Master of Divinity, and I was ordained in 2020 after three years in a liberal seminary where I studied world religions and spirituality, but I am not associated with any denomination at the moment. I simply follow my Soul as she travels on The Path of Beauty, and I support others to do the same, to find their original beauty, their medicinal home frequency. Because when you reclaim your original beauty, the web gets more beautiful. The personal work of healing & liberation is collective work in that sense.
My commitment
My commitment is to anima and Anima Mundi, and to spreading beauty on the web by creating content, doing Soul Work 1-1, and sending boxes of beauty to people's homes through my store, La Casa de Venus.
